This is not the first time that Suarez is convicted of bitting an opponent. He has been suspended twice before for bitting incidents, once in the Netherlands and again playing for Liverpool in the English Premier League.

Suarez’s sponsors are suddenly feeling the heat. Many people have started Twitter campaigns both chastising the Uruguay star and his antics, as well as attacking Suarez’s sponsors, including 888Poker, threatening boycotts should the brands not sever ties with him.

It will certainly be interesting to see what happens to Suarez and his deal with 888Poker in the next few days. He was only recently signed as an ambassador and was scheduled to represent Team 888Poker in a few upcoming poker events. For the moment, it’s status quo, but, if the natives continue to be restless, will 888 listen?
