In case you didn’t know…
Argentina had a disastrous start to their Copa America campaign but they have recovered from their early stutter slowly and steadily. Following their defeat against Colombia and draw against Paraguay, their performances have only improved. In their last knock-out game, the Albiceleste managed to secure a 2-0 win over Venezuela to book a spot in the semi-finals.
On the other hand, Brazil are unbeaten in the ongoing Copa America 2019. They enjoyed two solid wins and a draw in the group stages before defeating Paraguay 4-3 on penalty-shootouts. After a solid start in the tournament, Brazil looked unconvincing in their latest win against Paraguay.
Both the bitter rivals have faced each other over 100 times in all fixtures. The Albiceleste will be hoping to end their trophy drought after they lost two consecutive Copa America finals in 2015 and 2016. Their next game will prove to be quite the test as they are set to face rivals Brazil for the first time since 2007.
