With how useful Charge cookies are but with thirteen options to choose from, it can be confusing to know which options are best. This guide seeks to help players figure out specifically which Charge cookies are the most reliable in Cookie Run: Kingdom and how these cookies can work depending on different teams and strategies.

10 Werewolf Cookie
Though Werewolf Cookie is a pretty good intro to Charge cookies in Kingdom, he isn’t one of the best the game offers. That being said, Werewolf Cookie is a great option for beginners, and he’ll take new players decently far (or at least until they manage to gain some better Charge cookies).
In particular, Werewolf Cookie’s skill, Transformation, allows him to transform into a werewolf for around 10 seconds with an 11-second base cooldown, gaining an extra 20% health while transformed.
During his transformation, he also deals 206.9% damage, and he has a 20% chance of stunning enemies for one second with his regular attack, meaning he’s great at momentarily stopping enemies from attacking the player’s team.
Again, though - while this will be useful in the early game, he typically just isn’t strong enough to manage in later levels without burning through a ton of resources.
9 Kumiho Cookie
Another good option for beginners or those with no better options is Kumiho Cookie. She’s a little better than Werewolf Cookie for several reasons, but she’s still outclassed by better Epic cookies who can outperform her without needing as many resources.
That being said, she’s an option that can be used quite far into the game, and if players are willing to put resources into her, she can end up a very decent unit.
Specifically, Kumiho Cookie is very good for leaving enemies momentarily unable to attack. Her Skill transformation, Somersault, lasts 12 seconds with a 14-second base cooldown, charming enemies for 2 seconds.
Charmed enemies will also suffer a 20% defense decrease for 8 seconds, which can be a game changer. What’s also good about her transformation is that after it ends, she sends out a Fox Spirit Flame attack that will hit up to 5 nearby enemies for 251.2% damage. Fox Spirit Flame also has a decent range, so it can hit enemies the players’ other cookies might be having trouble with.

8 Purple Yam Cookie
Purple Yam Cookie is a pretty dependable cookie with a lot of use throughout Kingdom’s gameplay. Though in late-game and hard levels he may need a lot more attention than other cookies, he now benefits from his Magic Candy as well as his regular Skill. However, his damage without his Magic Candy can be lacking compared to other, better cookies, which puts him at a lower rank than some top-tier cookies.
With his skill, Purple Tornado, Purple Yam Cookie causes a ton of damage against enemies while becoming resistant to enemy attacks for a little while. His damage raises by 54%, which helps his already high damage stat a lot, and it has a relatively decent cooldown of 12 seconds.
However, his Magic Candy Skill is the real game-changer: the more it’s upgraded, the more his cooldown is reduced. As well as this, Purple Yam will receive the Berserker’s Fury buff every 15 seconds.
This buff gives Purple Yam +20% attack and crit percent, as well as +8% damage resistance and +10% attack speed. Berserker’s Fury can also stack a maximum of four times; after reaching four stacks, the Berserker’s Spirit buff is activated, restoring 15.0% of his max HP every 0.5 seconds for 3.0 seconds total.
7 Mala Sauce Cookie
For a cookie that can hold her own, look no further than Mala Sauce Cookie. Mala Sauce Cookie is a good option throughout much of Kingdom’s gameplay because of her usefulness in clearing out enemies as well as providing support to the rest of the cookies on the player’s team.
With her Spicy Mala Strike Skill, Mala Sauce Cookie is a very good option as both a support and a DPS. With Spicy Mala Strike, which has a 15-second base cooldown, she slams her mace onto the ground and manages 9% damage with each hit.
After striking the ground, the spot she struck will spit out lava with 15.7% damage. The lava also applies the Burn debuff, which will deal periodic damage to each enemy it hits.
On top of that, Spicy Mala’s Skill also increases the crit percent of two allies with the highest crit percent on the team by 25% for 8 seconds, which is an amazing support buff for any team.
6 Tea Knight Cookie
Despite being one of the more recent Charge cookies added to Kingdom, Tea Knight Cookie has soon identified himself as one of the more valuable Charge cookies to build and have on a team. Much of Tea Knight Cookie’s usefulness comes from his role as both an effective DPS and support, making his team contribution very good when paired with other damage-dealing cookies and making him useful in many play types.
Tea Knight Cookie’s range is very good, as he will hit all enemies within his range. As he’ll always be at the front of the player’s party, this will ensure that clearing a path through enemies will be that much easier.
With his Skill, Battlemaster, Tea Knight Cookie shines; he inflicts damage to the closest enemy, hitting them once for 542.4% base damage. Afterward, he’ll buff his allies: the two cookies in the player’s party with the highest attack will receive +6% attack for 8 seconds, and the two cookies with the highest crit% will receive +12% crit for 8 seconds.
As well as that, whenever an allied cookie is defeated, the Wrath of the Commander effect is triggered. Once this is triggered, it will increase attack by 50% and attack speed by 20%.
Wrath of the Commander can stack up to four times - at four stacks, these stat increases will max out at +100% attack and +150% speed attack. At maximum stacks, Tea Knight Cookie also becomes resistant to interruption.

5 Raspberry Cookie
Raspberry Cookie’s play style is simple, but its simplicity makes it so appealing. She can work in the early or late game, and her focus on attacking enemies means that she’s very useful at wiping out enemies quickly, especially enemies that pose more of a risk to the player.
When her Skill, Raspberry Reprise, is in use, Raspberry Cookie dashes at the enemy with the highest attack, hitting several times. Her base single hit damage is 42%, and her base final hit damage is 334%, allowing the damage to quickly build up.
After attacking an enemy, she also reduces their attack by 40% for 3 seconds. While her skill is active, she’s also far more resistant to interruptions. With further building, she can be a total powerhouse and is useful in most parts of the game.

4 Red Velvet Cookie
Useful in most teams, Red Velvet Cookie is a staple of Charge cookies within Kingdom. With an unmatched Skill when it comes to use and pure power, Red Velvet Cookie is popular with new and old players alike, and can be very useful throughout much of the game. He only becomes more powerful with even more attention put into his leveling and his build, too, making the effort to build him well worth it.
Red Velvet Cookie’s Skill is one of the most powerful of any Charge cookie when it comes to pure damage. He yanks the rearmost enemy forwards and deals a massive amount of damage to them, dealing 835% in damage to the cookie he pulls forward.
He cannot be interrupted in doing this, and his attack also stuns the cookie he grabs for 5 seconds. This skill is massively useful in most areas - especially PvP, where the other team may be using Legendary and Ancient cookies such as Sea Fairy Cookie or Pure Vanilla Cookie. It’s also very useful in wiping out the opposite team’s healer, giving the player a big opening to chip away at the rest of their team.
3 Dark Choco Cookie
A staple of a good team, Dark Choco Cookie is an extremely reliable cookie, and he can work in most teams players put him in regardless of setting. He is a very good option for players no matter how far they are into the game, as he’s well-equipped for both early stages and late stages thanks to his high attack and his Skill.
He’s also very useful to have in boss battles during story modes, as his Skill does more damage to larger enemies.
Dark Choco Cookie’s Sword of Darkness Skill is extremely efficient at clearing out enemies because of its longevity in both attack time and enemy buffs, making it a very good option for both PvP and PvE settings.
His skill inflicts a chain of lightning on enemies surrounding him, dealing 247% base damage and lowering enemies’ defense by 20% for 7 seconds. On top of this, on big-bodied enemies, the lightning strikes can hit multiple times, dealing more damage and inflicting multiple stacks of defense reduction.

2 Crunchy Chip Cookie
Crunchy Chip Cookie has a very fun and interesting play style, making him one of the most enjoyable characters to play. As well as this, he’s also incredibly powerful, with a play style focused around dealing pure damage to opposing enemies that is unmatched by almost all other Charge cookies. He also benefits from being less impacted by knockbacks and flying, making him very difficult to defeat.
With his regular attack, Crunchy Chip leaves a Claw Mark on the enemy with the highest attack. This Claw Mark lasts for 30 seconds, removes all buffs, causes 217% damage, and lowers attack speed by 25% for 18 seconds with a chance at stacking twice.
When he uses his Skill, Wolf Squadron, Crunchy Chip rushes into his enemies and slams into them, dealing huge damage. He also summons his Cream Wolf, who will attack alongside him for 70% of Crunchy Chip Cookie’s attack.
When Crunchy Chip is defeated, his Cream Wolf will grow enraged and will continue fighting alone, receiving massive buffs and becoming resistant to interruption.
1 Dark Cacao Cookie
As one of the few Legendary cookies available in the game and the only Charge Legendary, it’s no surprise that Dark Cacao Cookie is easily the best Charge cookie in the entire game. His attack stat alone makes him an absolute powerhouse, but paired with the debuffs he places on enemies and the buffs he places on himself, he’s an absolute monster regardless of the setting.
Dark Cacao is amazing no matter how the player uses him, but he’s especially valuable in settings like PvP, as most other cookies simply cannot match him.
Dark Cacao Cookie’s attack is incredibly powerful, impacting enemies in a wide range. With his skill alongside his regular attack, he becomes even more dangerous; he applies multiple stat reductions to enemies, including reductions to defense and attack for 9 seconds.
On top of this, any injured enemies will receive a max HP reduction for 30 seconds. Dark Cacao will also Zap enemies, giving them 3% of damage once per second for 9 seconds, ignoring any HP shields enemies may be using.
As well as all of this, Dark Cacao puts a +20% debuff resistance on himself and will become briefly resistant to interruptions during the duration of his Skill. All in all, Dark Cacao is an extremely powerful DPS, making him a must-have for any team.
